Senior Prom

This post has made it up because of the requests at Heyerdolls- hurrah for Heyerdolls! This is a picture of Lydia and Matt all dressed up for senior prom. Sadly not pictured are the shoes around which the whole outfit was planned, or anklet specially made by yours truly to match, but I'm too lazy to scan the official picture (which includes aforementioned articles). Maybe she will put it up on her blog. I also put two links to some of Lydia's youtube videos on the bottom. She has one or two more. She made up the songs and has never had ukulele/guitar lessons, so we are all uber impressed with her.

If Sister Wendy were to analyze this portrait no doubt she would mention Lydia's firm, womanly grip on the flowers, and Matt's smile so filled with happiness that he seems almost in pain because of it. They make a beautiful couple. And they are interesting looking, which Sister Wendy tells us, "is always the mark of a good portrait." I could over-analyze more upon request. I'm good at stuff like that; I'm a literature major after all. (Evil laugh).

Wow! Whitz, I'm impressed...you sound like you've been doing a lot of homework or something lately. :) I think you could expound a little on "Lydia's firm, womanly grip on the flowers"...sounds interesting and insightful.
