This picture is from a forward email with a bunch of crazy pictures of things in China from a year or so (who knows) ago. I saved it in my pictures since it made me laugh so much. When I was flipping through my pictures tonight looking for something to put up. I saw thing and started chuckling. Doesn't life just feel like that sometimes? I'm sure he got to where he was going, though, and so will we all when we have those times.

Spring Snow!

Ironically enough, I really felt spring coming today...even though I woke up to snow on the ground. It melted like a spring snow, a sure sign of warmer weather coming...we just won't think of the 3 weeks of awfulness when the mulberry tree becomes my nemesis. I felt like driving off to some place like this today, but didn't so here's some pics my mom took a couple of years ago.

Gone Shopping Be Back Later

President's Day weekend took most of my family to Vegas on a shopping expedition. We all did well. By pure item number I decidedly won. (I leave it to the reader to decide the pros/cons of that win). By amount of currency dispensed let's just say I beat Whitney. And the sun was wonderful.

Well...

I made it through today, and it seems noteworthy enough to justify a public declaration. Here's to the weekend coming! Also it is now one of my ambitions to visit Calico Ghost Town Regional Park. Who knew anywhere that close to Barstow, CA could yield such a delightful destination?
